This week I’m sharing another free printable solo with piano accompaniment that you can use with your beginning students.
Butterflies is a great early beginning piece for learning notes on the A string. It is to be played pizzicato in either rest or guitar position and uses quarter, two eighth, and half note rhythms. For more games and activities for learning fingered pitches, check out these free flashcards and board game.
Preview the piece with the video below, which you can also use as an accompaniment or practice video for your students.
Butterflies is also available on Soundslice. Soundslice is a powerful music teaching tool that allows you to view music notation/tablature synced with audio/video recordings, click on the notation to go to that moment in the recording, slow down without changing pitch, loop sections by dragging across the notes, print music, toggle between video and accompaniment tracks, and much more, all from the comfort of your web browser, without installing anything. Follow me on Instagram to see my intro reel for Soundslice and a few more quick mini-tutorials.
