This week I’m sharing another free printable solo with piano accompaniment that you can use with your beginning students.
Creepy Mouse is a beginning pizzicato piece that uses B, C#, and D on the A string. It’s a great selection for teaching the difference between half steps and whole steps. The rhythm is based on this nursery rhyme, which you could use to introduce the piece and extend the lesson.
Preview Creepy Mouse with the video below, which you can also use as an accompaniment or practice video for your students.
Creepy Mouse is also available on Soundslice. Soundslice is a powerful music teaching tool that allows you to view music notation/tablature synced with audio/video recordings, click on the notation to go to that moment in the recording, slow down without changing pitch, loop sections by dragging across the notes, print music, toggle between video and accompaniment tracks, and much more, all from the comfort of your web browser, without installing anything.
