It’s been about a year and a half since I’ve posted on Violin Club. And if you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed my rebranding to Twinkle Mint Studio, where I’ve been posting all things music teacher chic, plus sharing free and paid resources on Boom and Teachers Pay Teachers. I hope you’ll follow my music-teaching journey there.
I’m not abandoning Violin Club entirely, though! I’ll continue to post my violin-specific resources and keep my previous resource library available forever free at violinclub.substack.com.
Today, I wanted to talk about communication, something I haven’t done much of here lately! Good parent communication is KEY to growing a successful lesson studio. I’ve improved communication in my studio with a parent information packet that goes home after the first lesson. In it, I briefly introduce myself, outline what our first few semesters will look like, explain how the parent can help with home practice, and include contact details so parents stay in the loop. This little printable has been so helpful in setting up my studio families for success!
I made YOU a super cute customizable template you can use in your studio. It’s available in my TPT store, along with lots more free and paid violin teaching resources, which will be on sale for Cyber Monday, November 27 & 28. Save up to 25% off with code CYBER23.
What do you like to share with your new studio families? Drop your ideas in the comments below, and let’s get the Violin Club conversation dusted off and ready for new teaching adventures.
