I am trying my best to prepare my students as well as I can for the Texas Music Teachers’ Association Theory Test in February. As much as I try to cover the material before the test date, we always end up trying to cram the last few concepts in the weeks right before the test. We only have so much lesson time, so most of my students have to cover a lot of the material at home. That’s why I am creating these mini-lesson videos to help explain concepts at home between lessons.
This video reviews the difference between steps and skips and then provides examples of questions from the Level 3 test that ask students to aurally differentiate them.
